There are times when you want to comment on a YouTube video, but it is not posted. Whether you get an error or don’t see it, it can be very annoying if you can’t drop your support for your favorite manufacturer.
So, why does this happen at all? And if it does, what can you do to solve it? Let’s find out below.
What causes YouTube comments to fail
Sometimes, the reason you can’t post a comment is because you’re inadvertently violating some of the YouTube Community Guidelines. While you may think that your comment is innocent and not harmful, it may be violating some of the policies set by the video streaming site. So before you act on any of the suggestions below, make sure you’re not posting the following.
Is this a spam comment?
If you’ve been posting the same or similar comments on videos from creators you love, YouTube may automatically flag it as spam. That’s because frequent comments show your devotion to your idol, but they can be annoying to other users as they find it irrelevant.
Also, if your comments contain links to objectionable sites, or if you are posting comments that link to a channel or video but are not related to the video you are commenting on, consider that too spam. Will be considered.
You can check youtube spam policies here so that you can understand better. Remember, whenever you are posting anything on the internet, you should always think before you click. This way, you can avoid the hassle of getting banned from your favorite platform.
inappropriate words
Some creators can automatically block inappropriate words in their videos. This helps ensure that the discussion in his videos remains civil and warm. If so, you should review the comment being entered. Even if you didn’t include any abusive or vulgar language, you might have included a word about which the creator is sensitive.
minor account
YouTube requires users to enter their age on their accounts. That way, it can make sure it’s showing you age-appropriate content. However, if you haven’t done so, the video-sharing platform automatically assumes that you are a child. As such, you only get limited functions, such as the inability to access videos that have been marked as not child-friendly and post comments.
So if you can’t post a comment, you should check your profile and see if you entered the correct date of birth for your YouTube account.
a connection problem
A common problem that causes problems with commenting is a poor Internet connection. Even if you can watch the video, it may have buffered long before you were offline. To determine if your device is offline, try visiting a different video or opening your browser and visiting a different page.
If you can’t access them either, your bad connection is probably the culprit. You can try resetting your connection by turning Airplane Mode on and then turning it off again to reset your phone’s antenna. Or, you can switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data or vice versa.
Before you comment on a video, you should at least watch a good portion of it. That way, you get to know the context of the entire video. Sometimes, YouTube treats comments made at the beginning of a video as suspicious activity the first time you watch it.
Refresh your app or browser
Sometimes, an intermittent connection can cause an error when you are loading YouTube videos. While this lets you watch the video in its entirety, it may not give you the full functionality of YouTube. This means that you may encounter errors while liking, sharing or commenting on videos.
If so, then the best solution is to refresh the browser or app you are using. That way, you can correct the errors before trying to post your comment again.
Try commenting on other videos
On rare occasions, the creator may have disabled the ability to comment on the video you are watching when you are trying to post a comment. If so, then you cannot comment at all.
Try opening other videos that have comments there first to see if that’s the problem. If you don’t have a problem with this, then this is the most likely answer to your problem. Unfortunately, you can’t fix this—the only way you can post a comment is if the channel owner re-activates the function.
Disable VPNs, Adblockers, and Other Extensions
While these plug-ins and add-ons are helpful for most people, they sometimes interfere with website operation. If you have these running in the background and continue to have problems with commenting, try turning them off temporarily.
